2. We then adjusted these incomes for the cost of living in each city, using data from the Council for Community and Economic Research’s Cost of Living Index. This allowed us to compare incomes across cities, taking into account differences in the cost of living.

3. And then Finally, we ranked the cities based on their adjusted median household incomes.
