Are you going to Vietnam from India? The Vietnam e‑Visa makes the process easier as it is a completely online visa process for Indian travelers. Whether you are visiting for tourism, business or to see family, this guide will walk you through the process: eligibility, documents, processing tips and group applications. 

What types of visas are available for Indians?

Indian passport holders are eligible for a single or multiple entry e-Visa valid for up to 90 days. This can include tourism, short business trips or visitation. 

What are the key requirements?

Passport- Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond time of entry with 2 blank pages. 

Photo- A recent color photo with a plain white background. 

Digital files- Passport bio page and a passport style photo in JPEG.

How do I apply online?

Visit the official e-Visa portal (evisa.gov.vn). 

Click Apply Now, read and agree to the terms and enter your personal and travel details. 

Upload your passport photo and a photo of yourself. The system may automatically verify that you meet the biometric requirements. 

Review the details and pay the fee of US$25 for single entry or US$50 for multiple entry (you can use your credit card to pay). 

Wait for processing, 3-5 working days is typical but it is possible to take up to 30 days. 

When approved, download and print your e-Visa and have it available with your passport when you arrive.

Can I apply for my family or group?

Yes. Many sites provide for submitting multiple travelers under one application. Each applicant must upload a passport and photo.
