The airline is said to have reported a loss of about ₹ 22,000 crore in FY 2025-26, and this is putting an enormous burden on the management to cut any costs that it can cut.

What Cabin Crew Should Do Now
It is recommended that crew members should carefully read their employment contracts, especially concerning the provisions of rostering, minimum guaranteed pay and leave provisions. Meeting the representatives of the union and keeping in touch with them through formal communication methods will be of paramount importance in the weeks to come.
The next several months will determine the level of commitment of Air India towards its employees as it goes through one of its most challenging operating periods since it was taken over by Tata.
