Adidas is planning to cut up to 500 jobs at its headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany. According to the reports, this layoff is a part of the decentralization strategy of CEO Bjoern Gulden. Under this move, the company is aiming to shift accountability to individual markets.
Reuters reported the cuts will impact the 5,800- employees in Germany.

This comes after Adidas posted better-than-expected 2024 revenues with sales growing by 11% and operating profits reaching €1.34 billion. Gulden has been working to steer the company through challenges, including controversies and declining sales from the previous year.
After Profit Fall, Puma Targets Stability and Growth in 2025
Puma is focusing on cutting costs after reporting a net profit of €282 million in 2024. Which was less than the year 2023. Though Puma has said there is no plan for global layoffs. This is prioritizing workforce stability while aiming for strong performance in 2025.
