According to Bain & Company‘s analysis, a talent shortage will restrict India’s artificial intelligence sector which aims to generate 2.3 million jobs during the next three years.
India will need more than one million AI workers by 2027 because the expected growth of qualified professionals to 1.2 million will not meet market demands. The worldwide AI job market gained 21% annual demand since 2019 while AI salaries increased by 11% yearly in both cases. According to research, the AI talent shortage is especially harsh in different markets around the world with Germany projecting 70% job vacancies by 2027 and half of all AI positions unstaffed in the U.S.
According to Bain & Company partner Saikat Banerjee, the organization must invest in workforce development to teach current staff emerging technical adeptness. The executives listed a lack of internal AI knowledge and questions about results accuracy as their biggest project hurdles alongside data security problems at 38% and 32% respectively.
