Elon Musk starts hiring for Everything app
Elon Musk is challenging conventional hiring practices once again. In a recent post on X, the billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX announced that he is on the search for skilled engineers for a groundbreaking digital platform.
It is the Everything app. In the post, Musk noted that the candidates’ educational qualifications are not important. He is more focused on their skills and codes. Nonetheless, this is not the first time that the entrepreneur has challenged the need for formal education in hiring.
Earlier also, Musk made it clear that a university degree is not necessary for any person to be an employee at Tesla. For years, he has emphasised skills and problem-solving ability over traditional forms of education.
This approach is evident in his hiring practices at Tesla, SpaceX and X. Musk’s vision for the Everything app is gradually taking shape as X turns into a comprehensive platform combining multiple services such as e-commerce, payments, multimedia and messaging.
