The ongoing conflict between Israelis and Hamas militants have led to the killing of nearly 4,800 Israelis and Gazans. Hamas attacks on Israel have put terrorism in the spotlight. Israel-Hamas conflict has caused humanitarian catastrophe in the region, with killing and targeting of civilians in Israel and The Gaza Strip.

Hamas has created a terrorizing situation in Gaza. In a huge blow to human rights, the Hamas fighters have been targeting children and women amid the conflict. 

UNICEF (United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund) said, “Many children have been killed or injured.” UNICEF further said, “Gaza is heading for a humanitarian catastrophe.”

The President of the United States, Joe Biden, said that Hamas militants beheaded 40 babies. His statement shocked the entire world. He told the media, “I have confirmed pictures of terrorists beheading children.” 

Biden also said, “Hamas makes al-Qaeda look pure. They’re pure evil. The United States stands with Israel.”

A spokesperson for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) found dead bodies of 40 small babies in Israel. IDF said, “Women, children and toddlers as well as elderly were brutally butchered in an ISIS way of action.” The IDF said that there were similarities between Hamas and ISIS. 

Images of dead children in both Israel and Palestine have surfaced on social media platform X. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said that the ongoing conflict led to the killing and maiming of children, abductions, and attacks on civilian infrastructure.

Israel also showed US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and NATO defense ministers images of dead children. Netanyahu’s office also posted a picture of a dead infant on X platform.

Hamas targeting women

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Hamas raped various Israeli women amid the conflict. He said that Hamas beheaded Israeli soldiers and raped various girls and women during their attack on the state. He said, “Young women were raped and slaughtered. Soldiers were beheaded.”

In a huge blow to women’s rights, a German woman, who was attending the music festival near the Gaza border, was paraded naked by Hamas militants.

An Israeli woman told the media, “I know Hamas kidnapped girls. They raped women even after killing them.” According to sources, a 25-year-old woman, identified as Noa Argamani, was also sexually assaulted by Hamas fighters.

Recently, Hamas also posted a video on its Telegram handle of an Israeli woman taken hostage during the attacks. In a video, the woman was pleading for her release. She urged the Israeli authorities to bring her home to her family and siblings. The ongoing conflict between Israelis and Hamas fighters has also increased violence against women.

Hamas kidnapping civilians and Europeans

According to multiple reports and knowledgeable sources, Hamas militants kidnapped more than 250 people from a music festival in Southern Israel near the Gaza border. More than 250 people are believed to have been kept as hostages in Gaza, including women, children, and older people. 

Reportedly, at least 1,300 Israelis have been killed since Hamas launched the terror attack against Israel. Many people lost their lives because of the conflict. At least 27 American citizens have also died because of the conflict. The death toll of French citizens from the Hamas attacks has also increased to 19. Thirty Thai citizens have also been killed, while another 17 are believed to have been abducted. At least 16 Russians also lost their lives.

Hamas – A terrorist organization

Israel, Australia, Japan, the United Kingdom, United States, and the European Union have officially designated Hamas a terrorist organization. Leaders from these countries have slammed Hamas for causing humanitarian catastrophe in the region. 

United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said, “The people who support Hamas are fully responsible for this appalling attack. They are not militants. They are not freedom fighters. They are terrorists.”

Other countries should also designate Hamas a terrorist organization. Hamas attacks have resulted in the killing and targeting of thousands of people.
