On June 17, 2025, Greece launched a new countrywide remote work programme with WORKFROMGREECE.GR facilitated by Global Nomad Pass. The first remote workers who signed up receive a free 12-month membership (USD 79.99 value), enabling discounts (up to 30%) to more than 75 locally owned businesses spanning Athens, Thessaloniki, Chania, Ioannina and Kalamata.
Any traveller in Greece or with proof of an upcoming flight can claim it. While registration is available across the whole country, the free offer is limited to people who click the link once the programme starts on June 17.
Members get perks in Greece and access to 500+ locations in over 25 destinations worldwide through Global Nomad Pass. The goal is to bring nomadic patrons into the local economy by helping them to find local cafés, coworking spaces, fitness studios, restaurants, salons and accommodation.
Since 2021, Greece has offered a digital nomad visa, allowing non-EU remote workers to stay for 12 months (with a potential extension) as long as they make a minimum of EUR 3,500/month after tax. The visa does not support work for Greek-based employers but supports freelancers and remote employees through a process that is otherwise simplified.
You will need to go to the link WORKFROMGREECE.GR and, by June 17, show proof of presence or travel to Greece. When you register, your free Global Nomad Pass is activated, unleashing various features across the country. The goal is to motivate people to stay longer, return and engage with Greece’s local communities.
