Hundreds are laid off by IT solutions provider CDW as “economic uncertainty” grows. The layoff season continues!
Hundreds of employees are being let go by international IT solutions provider CDW due to the “intensifying economic uncertainty”.
The report quoted a laid-off employee as saying, “The company is offering a severance package, but laid-off employees are signing non-disclosure agreements.”
A number of employees revealed their termination on LinkedIn.
“Tragic day! The announcements of CDW’s economic layoffs made today mark the end of my employment there. A CDW employee posted, “I will be looking for a new position within the Cloud/IT Management space!”
Another person said: “Today has been a challenging day. Due to a difficult tech economy, CDW has announced company-wide layoffs, and regrettably I have been affected. I’m looking for a new job in the IT/Azure Cloud sector.
Compared to estimates of $5.28 billion, CDW anticipates first quarter net sales of about $5.1 billion.
“Today marked the conclusion of one chapter in my life and the start of another. I was one of many people who CDW laid off today. I’m excited for what comes next,” wrote a second fired employee.
Posts on the layoff tracking website thelayoff.com indicate that the number of layoffs at the company could range from 600 to 1000.
The “intensifying economic uncertainty” has led CDW, a global provider of IT solutions, to announce the layoffs of hundreds of workers.
