Armenia Embassy to Georgia dismisses rumours of not letting humanitarian aid pass to Armenia

Recently information was spreading across the internet regarding Georgia blocking off and impeding fuel transportation to war-struck Armenia and also not letting humanitarian aid to pass through to the country that is in midst of severely escalated conflict with Azerbaijan. On October 6 the Facebook page of the Embassy of Armenia in Georgia posted declining the allegations saying “does not correspond to reality.” The announcement publicized by the embassy said, “There are no problems with the transportation of fuel and humanitarian aid.”

Announcement further notes that embassy is in continuous contact with the Georgian authorities.

Speculation circulating on the internet that Georgia is hindering fuel imports and refusing to allow through humanitarian aid to Armenia do not correspond to reality. There is no problem with either fuel or humanitarian aid transport.
