Deloitte, the largest professional services network by revenue and number of professionals in the world and is considered one of the Big Four accounting firms along with EY, KPMG and PwC, is reportedly using AI to prevent layoffs.

According to Bloomberg, the company is using AI to potentially shift existing employees into new roles. The move is aimed at preventing mass layoffs and balancing new hiring growth.

In recent months, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited has been trying to figure out how to deal with new hires. AI is helping workers move into roles that are more in-demand. 

The company has been using AI technology to assess its current employees’ skills. With the help of AI, the employees will be moved into areas of the business that are more promising. 

In the coming years, Deloitte, a multinational professional services network, will avoid mass layoffs and continue hiring with the help of AI. 

Stevan Rolls, Global Chief Talent Officer – Deloitte, said, “It is obviously a great objective to be able to avoid large swings of hirings and layoffs.”
