Who can submit feedback to the 8th Pay Commission? 

The 8th Pay Commission has clearly specified who can be involved in the consultation process:

  • Serving central government employees — both civilian and defence personnel 
  • All pensioners drawing pension from the central exchequer (both paid by the central government and from the central government as a family pension)
  • The general staff of the UTs and the All India Services
  • Judicial officers, employees of the Supreme Court and High Courts in UTs
  • Employee unions, service associations, and relevant ministries/departments, who have been recognised.

Anyone who fits into any of the above categories can submit their own CPC recommendations to the Commission prior to the deadline.

What paperwork should I need for the 8th CPC Update?

The answer is a breath of fresh air — there is no requirement to give supporting documents to provide initial feedback or a memorandum. The submission of the 8th Pay Commission is online only. You only need:

  • Valid mobile number or email ID to generate OTP for authentication
  • Must have a MyGov account (or have the ability to create one)
  • Personal information of a registered user (baseline information).

No need to submit any salary slips, service books, pension payment orders or any other official paperwork at the time of submission.

Step-by-step: Guidelines for Suggesting 8th Pay Commission

Step 1: Join in Portal: Join the official MyGov 8th CPC Portal (available under the 8th Pay Commission section on mygov.in).

Step 2: Select Your Category. Choose whether you are participating as an Individual (Employee or Pensioner) or as an Association/Union.

Step 3: Log In using OTP. Enter your registered Mobile No or E-mail ID and verify with the OTP you received on your mobile.

Step 4: Fill up a structured questionnaire. Fill up the form wherein various aspects such as salary revision, fitment factor, allowance, etc., have been asked. It is an opportunity for you to express your views on salary revision in India. 

Step 5: Review. Submit before 31st May 2026. No physical submission will be needed.
