0.1m bangladeshi workers find jobs overseas in jan
Though the years after pandemic is too much critical for job market and where not only job seekers are getting disappointed but the employed people of various fields facing layoffs.
In between this more than 0.1 million workers of Bangladeshi found jobs in various destination in the world around and this is in the first month of the year 2023.
This is the fourth highest number in the last 13 months. Shown is the data provided by the Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training (BMET).
In the year 2023, in the month of January, 104,513 workers from Bangladesh went to different countries.
This hiring has been done due to hiring by some Middle Eastern countries including Saudi Arabia. In January, Saudi Arabia hired 42,697 workers followed by Oman 17,694 and Malaysia 24,994.
These recruitments have increased rapidly after the pandemic. All saw a significant increase in recent years after a decrease in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Bangladesh will send more than 1.1 million workers abroad to work in 2022 and the number is expected to grow further in 2023, several officials have confirmed.
MD Shahidul Alam who is the Director General of Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training also showed some positive outlook and hope for the year 2023.
He also said that work abroad would increase over the next few years, with Greece, Albania, Malta, and Bosnia also recruiting in the coming years.
A large contingent of people undergo skilled training and go from Bangladesh to work there. So, it is clear from this that Bangladesh is ready to send more workers abroad!
