Afghan immigrants who were sent back to their country by Turkey have reportedly accused Turkish border guards of mistreating them, alleging that they were beaten and tortured after being detained, according to News.
Abdul Rahman, 24, claimed that while being deported, migrants experience harassment. “They said you’re a son,” Why are you in this place? He stated, according to News sources, “I (said) I am required to find a piece of bread.”
In actuality, the refugees are having issues finding employment, dealing with resettlement issues, and lacking identification. In this regard, the Islamic Emirate ought to pay attention, according to activists for refugee rights Asifa Stanikzai.
Several Afghan deportees from Turkey who claimed to have been beaten by Turkish forces were interviewed by some reputable news organizations.
“They used steel to beat us very badly. They broke my feet,” deportee Sarwar claimed.
Around 2 million Afghans, according to Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid, have returned to their country in the previous two years. He stated that there should be no harassment during the deportation process.
The Islamic Emirate treats the Afghan refugees well because they are in contact with Turkey about this issue. The Taliban spokesman added that there are also legal concerns and that Turkey does not accept refugees.
Earlier, according to news sources cited by the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation, nations that have taken in Afghan refugees have violated Afghans’ human rights.
