A violent fight broke out at Mingus Lucien Reedus‘s Chelsea apartment on August 23, 2025. He is the 25-year-old son of star Norman Reedus and supermodel Helena Christensen. He was arrested in Manhattan.
Response from the police and allegations
Reports from the police say that emergency services reacted to a 911 call that Reedus made to himself at around 8:40 a.m. He told the dispatchers that a woman was saying she was going to hurt herself. But when the police arrived, they saw a 33-year-old woman with cuts on her neck and leg. She said Reedus choked her by picking her up off the ground, then kicked her and threw her to the ground during a fight the night before. The person was taken to Bellevue Hospital in a safe condition.
Charges Made
At first, Reedus was charged with third-degree assault and interference. Later, authorities added charges of aggravated harassment, second-degree harassment, and reckless physical injury, bringing the total to five misdemeanor counts.
Proceedings in court
Reedus said he wasn’t guilty at his hearing and was let go without bail. His lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, said the case was based on “unsupported claims” and that it would become clear that he was innocent as the case went on. Judge Michelle Weber gave Reedus a temporary protection order that said he couldn’t talk to the claimed victim. His next court date is October 8.
Legal Trouble in the Past
Reedus has been in trouble with the law before. He was arrested for assault at New York’s San Gennaro Festival in 2021. In 2022, he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was given a conditional release and forced to go to counselling.
