Chinese Embassy in Manila issued a travel advisory on Tuesday stating that starting August 20 all travelers to China in inbound flights from Philippines are required to take a nucleic acid test for Covid-19 and show a negative report before boarding the flight. The negative test must be obtained at least five days prior to the scheduled flight.
Embassy said that this requirement has been put in place in accordance with Chinese authorities’ earlier announcement for all travelers to China mainland to have a Covid-19 test done. The passengers are required to fill in and sign a health declaration form before traveling. A copy of the signed declaration along with negative report of nucleic acid test must then be emailed to the embassy or consulate by traveler along with front page of their passports. Then the embassy or consulate will send a certified health declaration form to passenger that will have a validity period of five days from the date of issuance of negative test certificate from designated labs and institutions.
Embassy added, “Please be noted that it shall take at least one working day for the verification by the Chinese Embassy or the Consulates.” It further said, “Please be noted that passengers with expired Health Declaration Forms won’t be allowed to board and are required to conduct new Nucleic Acid Tests as well as applying for new Health Declaration Forms.”
Legal liabilities would be instilled to those who try to forge the nucleic acid certificates, embassy emphasized.
