192 Affordable Rental Housing Units Handed Over to Migrant Workers in Jammu

On Wednesday, the government of Jammu and Kashmir handed over 192 housing units for migrant workers in Jammu that are available at affordable rental rates. During the ceremony that took place in Sunjwan, the flats were delivered by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

The apartments are a component of the government program known as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban)-Affordable Rental Housing Complex (ARHC). The economically disadvantaged, urban migrants, and working poor are the target demographic for the program, which aims to provide affordable rental housing for them.

The apartments are located in Sunjwan’s most desirable neighborhood and come furnished with a variety of contemporary conveniences. The apartments have a monthly rent of 2,200 rupees each.

During his remarks at the event, Sinha stated that the migrant workers would be able to enjoy a “dignified living” in the new apartments. He asserted that the government was dedicated to meeting the housing needs of all segments of society at affordable prices.

The people who were given the apartments as a benefit by the government expressed their gratitude to the government for allowing them to live in an area that was free from danger and threat. They believed that moving into the apartments would be beneficial to their overall quality of life.

The J&K government has taken a significant step towards its goal of providing reasonably priced housing to migrant workers with the handing over of these flats. The apartments will help to improve the quality of life for migrant workers while also providing a much-needed boost to the economy of the region.
