In the year 2026, workers in different parts of the world are experiencing increased job insecurity and exploitation, which will continue to drive the need to implement effective labour protection. The increased workloads, salaries not adjusted to the inflation, and the vulnerable state of the gig economy lead to worldwide protests and unions. India In India, implementation of new Labour Codes raises controversy around minimum wages and social security and trade unions are strategizing to stage strikes over perceived replenishment. Gulf migrants desire superior contract enforcement against the fear of deportation. The US and EU workers are forcing the anti-retaliation legislation in the face of the automation threats. Economic pressures increases needs of fair pay, safe conditions and union rights as these movements point the finger.
Labour Protections Demand Surge
Grassroots campaigns are aimed at wage theft and unhealthy working environments. The trade unions are against codes that weaken job security. Protections of migrants become urgent with the risks of relocating.
