Modernisation Efforts to Counter Challenges

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi recently met with the Chairman of a vital waterway, the Suez Canal Authority, Lieutenant General Osama Rabie, to deliberate on issues affecting the canal. These projects intend to allow even greater capabilities to be granted to ships and increase the Dodd’s Canal’s importance in the supply chain networks.

Efforts are also made to enhance the fishing fleet, especially in line with international standards similar to those of Egypt. Such measures are believed to strengthen the canal and enhance its competitiveness in view of the increasing challenges in the international business environment.
