Salesforce Restructures Workforce, Balancing Layoffs & AI Hiring

Salesforce the global CRM giant announced about the upcoming layoff. This wave of layoff will impact over 1,000 employees. This move by the Salesforce comes at the time when company is continueing to invest in artificial intelligence and planning to expand its AI-driven product offerings.

Though which  department will be impacted by this round of layoff this have not been disclosed. But as per the reports the employees will have the opportunity to apply for other roles within Salesforce. 

AI Growth and Workforce Shift

In December 2024 CEO Marc Benioff announced that the company secured over 1,000 paid deals for “Agentforce,” which is an AI-powered virtual representative platform. 

This statement by CEO highlighted the growing focus of Salesforce in AI. After this Salesforce is hiring for new roles related to AI. But laying off old employees.
