Bohemian Rhapsody

Based on the real life of Singer Freddie Mercury, who identified himself as gay and his band Queen, the movie shows how Freddie and his band goes on to becoming one of the most popular artists in history. Starring Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury, the film is directed by Bryan Singer. The movie won 4 Oscars 49 wins and 89 nominations in total. 

The imitation Game

Another biographical drama telling the story of Alan Turing, a British mathematician who cracked the German ENIGMA Code during World War 2. The star cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch as Alan, Keira Knightley, and Mathew Goode as side characters. It was later found out that Alan Turing invented the computer and was gay in real life. He named the machine as Christopher, who was his friend in high school as depicted in the film. 

Holding the Man

A heart wrenching performance portraying the love and death that may get a bit too real to handle for some. The plot goes as in the 1970s two boys fight all the odds that come their way and refuse to renounce the love they have for each other.

El Dorado: Everything that the Nazis Hate 2023; A documentary on LGBTQ Persecution in WWII Germany

Before the Nazis rose in Germany, the German Capital had a thriving LGBTQ community. After Nazis came into power, the LGBTQ community dwindled as they were persecuted and executed by Hitler’s men. This docu drama shows the survivors. Directed by Benjamin Cantu, the show can be viewed on Netflix.

Dance of the 41 – 2020..

Decades before Stonewall, the local police raids a Gay Club to terrorise the Gay community in Mexico. Everything seems to b e going fine for the law enforcement cops until they find the Son in Law of the President among the raided people. Inspired by true events, this show tells us a powerful message. People fascinated by the 20th Century history and queer community can watch the movie on Netflix.
