The National Insurance Company Limited (NICL), owned by the Government of India, has invited applications for 266 Administrative Officer (AO) positions in Scale-I, consisting of 170 generalist positions and 96 specialist positions. While online registrations are from June 12, 2025, to July 3, 2025.

Who Can Apply?

Age Limit: 21-30 years on May 1, 2025. The people born between May 2, 1995, and May 1, 2004, can apply.

Educational Qualifications:

Generalists: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

Specialists: discipline-specific degree. For example: MBBS, LLB, CA, BE/B.Tech in IT or automobile engineering.

What’s the recruitment timeline?

Final Date to apply: July 3rd, 2025 (last date to submit the application and payment)

Phase I (Prelims): July 20th, 2025 – 100 Marks, 60 minutes (Objective Multiple choice)

Phase II (Mains + Interview): Main Exam – August 31st, 2025 – 250 Marks (Objective) – 30 Marks (Descriptive) + Personal interview

How Are Candidates Selected?

Prelims: Objective Test (English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude)

Mains: Objective Test + Descriptive Test (professional knowledge for specialists)

Final: Total = Mains (objective) + Interview

Candidates must complete each stage to be eligible

What Are the Application Fees?

  • INR 1,000 for all categories
  • INR 250 for SC/ST/PwBD
