Federal health organizations started making staff cuts on Tuesday because the Trump administration wants to cut 10,000 full-time HHS positions. The Department of Government Efficiency under Elon Musk launched its reduction program last Thursday to decrease the 82,000 federal employees by 25% across all HHS departments like CDC, FDA and NIH.
