
Biotech firm MiAlgae will introduce new environmental growth while creating 100 green jobs through its algae production expansion at Grangemouth. The news provides optimism to Grangemouth workers whose jobs are under threat because Scotland’s one oil refinery will close.
The technology company MiAlgae obtained a Sum of £13.8 million last year from investors to expand their operations. Douglas Martin affirmed during his interview that relocating the company to Grangemouth is his strategic plan to develop eco-friendly production methods alongside employee upskilling programs.
“Grangemouth has incredible potential for us as we look to the next stage of our growth,” Martin stated. “We are confident that this new facility will help build a greener future and bring high-quality, sustainable jobs to the local community.”
