India’s Clean Energy Workforce to Grow 18% in FY25

The renewable energy sector in India expects to expand its workforce by 18.9% through FY25 because TeamLease Services research shows rapid development towards 500 GW of non-fossil fuel power capacity by 2030.

The sector created 23.7% more jobs in FY24 than in FY23 and FY22 because of its high growth rate. Young professionals make up most of the contractual job roles in this industry, with 50% between 26-35 years old, and continued participation of experienced workers over 35 years old.

The renewable energy industry of India stands at a dynamic turning point thanks to public backing and company funding, says Subburathinam P as TeamLease Services COO. The energy sector growth generates available roles that match all professional qualifications including basic skills for solar wind hybrid systems technology practices. Rajasthan, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu lead in solar energy production and host most of the country’s solar power plants.

Multiple government initiatives, such as PM Surya Ghar and the National Green Hydrogen Mission, have worked effectively with programs like PM KUSUM and the Solar PV Module PLI Scheme to strengthen solar energy growth. Office users should blend professional and digital training methods plus workforce retention steps, according to Subburathinam.
