There are one billion people with disabilities globally. Many of them complain that they don’t have the opportunity to give back to society and that they feel alienated. Despite considerable improvement, there is still much to be done.

What can be done to increase accessibility and inclusivity? Governments are working to promote more equality. Organizations in civil society are pushing for societal change. Startups are developing innovative solutions to some of the problems that people with impairments experience on a daily basis. Participation of people with disabilities at all stages is essential for success.
