If you are planning to work abroad in 2025, look for a country that has an easy work visa process. A few countries have an easy process, fast approvals and visa types available to both skilled workers and temporary or short-term workers. Here’s a list of the best countries where it will be easy to get a work visa in 2025.
Estonia
Estonia has one of the highest approval rates for work visas with one of the simplest processes. The D visa allows you to get to work quickly with the ability to apply for a residence permit later. New jobs are consistently being added to the Estonia portal.
Lithuania
Lithuania is simple, especially for skilled workers. A job offer is required, but most of the application process will be the employer’s responsibility. Some high-skilled jobs may even be eligible under a labour market compliance decision which may exempt them from a work permit.
Iceland
Iceland can issue several permits, from skilled professionals to seasonal and student workers. You only need a job contract to start. They also have a strong work-life balance.
Latvia
Latvia provides multiple permits through residence permits and D visas. Residence permits for employment, residence permits for businesses and the visa option for seasonal workers.
Slovakia
For residence and work authorisation, there is the Single Permit in Slovakia. Other visa types for temporary work include seasonal permits as well as the EU Blue Card for skilled workers.
Luxembourg
Luxembourg offers business visas for short-term trips and national visas for employees and entrepreneurs in the context of high wages and low unemployment rates.
Czechia
Czechia issues Employee Cards, EU Blue Cards and business visas which are perfect for both highly skilled professionals and entrepreneurs.
Germany
Finally, Germany will implement the Opportunity Card in 2025 to allow job seekers to migrate without a job offer in hand. It will also facilitate freelancers, au pairs and young professionals with the Working Holiday Visa.
