The recruitment drive for 148 Scientist ‘B’ posts in various departments of the Ministry of Defence is officially announced by Defence Research and Development Organisation’s Recruitment and Assessment Centre (DRDO RAC). The posts included are in DRDO, Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) and others. The applications will be expected to open from June 7 to June 27 2025.

Qualifications
Candidates must have a Bachelor of Engineering or Technology (B.E./B. Tech) degree or a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree relevant to the disciplines. In addition, candidates will need to have a valid GATE qualifying score in the subject. The age limits are up to 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC, and 40 years for SC/ST. Candidates with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are subject to the terms for age limitations set forth by government rules.
Selection Process
The selection process has two components
1. GATE Score-Based Shortlisting – Candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:10 ratio based on the GATE score, subject to merit in each discipline and category.
2. Personal Interview – Short-listed candidates will be invited for a personal interview which will take place in New Delhi or otherwise determined by RAC/DRDO.
Based upon the weighted average of 80% GATE score and 20% of the marks in the personal interview, final selection will be made.
Application Fee
For male candidates belonging to General (UR), EWS and OBC categories: INR 100 (non-refundable)
For candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories and women candidates: No application fee
The application fee will only be accepted online.

The eligible candidates can complete the application online on the official DRDO RAC website: https://rac.gov.in. Candidates must fill up the application form, attach the required documents and pay the application fee (if required) before the closing date.
