baloch activists rally global support urgent appeal against human rights abuses in balochistan (3)
Baloch activists, led by Mahrang Baloch, are working hard to get help from the world for the tough times their people are going through. They want everyone to know about the bad things happening in Balochistan, a part of Pakistan. They are especially asking young people in Pakistan and other places to join them in their fight against what they call the “Baloch Genocide.”
In their fourth phase of action, the activists are spreading the word about enforced disappearances, which means people are taken away without any reason and unjust killings. where people are killed without a fair trial. They are peacefully protesting without any harm to anyone.
Mahrang Baloch is calling on everyone to share the news about these problems and support the Baloch cause. The activists are doing everything to spread their message and they are planning to have a meeting from different places and running campaigns in schools and colleges. This is happening while the movement against enforced disappearances has been going on for more than 50 days, with people sitting down in protest in Balochistan and the capital city, Islamabad.
Mahrang Baloch and another activist, Sammi Deen Baloch, recently talked to people from the United Nations to tell them about the bad situation in Balochistan. They shared details about people disappearing, getting killed without a fair trial, and the dangers faced by those who protest peacefully. A group called the Baloch Yakjehti Committee, which set up the meeting, is asking the UN to send a team to check things out and find out what’s really happening.
To get more help and tell more people about the troubles in Balochistan, the BYC has started a social media movement called #IStandWithBalochMarch. They want the world to support them and know about the hard times the Baloch people are facing. This campaign is about joining voices together to support justice. They want to stop the bad things happening in Balochistan and want to make the life of their people safe.
