A Collaborative Meeting held between UN Mission, Aid Groups and Taliban on migrants 

To resolve the deepening crisis of Afghanistan, which is the displacement of local people as the migrants, a collaborative meeting is held between the Taliban-run Ministry of refugees, UNAMA (United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan) and several international aid groups in Kabul. During this meeting representatives from the organizations and the Taliban ministries coordinated together for supporting the migrants and internally displaced persons (IDPs). 

Eventually, the meeting mounts their concern over the forced deportations of Afghan refugees from Pakistan and it is reported that nearly 800,000 people have returned from Pakistan due to mass crackdowns and expulsions since 2023. And such inhuman activities should be neglected and the acting refugee minister of Taliban, Abdul Kabir condemned the growing resentment and strained regional ties. Also, the UN Special Representative decoded the challenges and the funds ($183 million in 2024) allocated for the humanitarian assistance which targets both the migrants and IDPs.

This meeting underpins the importance of regular engagement among the local and international group of activists & personalities, which signals a shift towards the planning and execution of the sustainable recovery efforts.
