They are the architects of games and their work includes planning, and designing all the elements of the game. To be a game writer one needs to have a degree in mass communication / script writing / english literature. Their creativity comes into play when they have to describe the circumstances through actions, or expressions of the characters more than what they speak. They add the cherry on the top by giving a gaming experience where a storyline is important.
They work through the game to identify bugs and glitches, and document issues for developers to fix the issues. They should have a degree in computer science or game design and experience in software QA. They should be familiar with areas like game design, trends, hardware, genres and the gaming industry as a whole.
