India In India, implementation of new Labour Codes raises controversy around minimum wages and social security and trade unions are strategizing to stage strikes over perceived replenishment. Gulf migrants desire superior contract enforcement against the fear of deportation. The US and EU workers are forcing the anti-retaliation legislation in the face of the automation threats. Economic pressures increases needs of fair pay, safe conditions and union rights as these movements point the finger.
Grassroots campaigns are aimed at wage theft and unhealthy working environments. The trade unions are against codes that weaken job security. Protections of migrants become urgent with the risks of relocating.
