Over 172,000 Pakistanis Seek Foreign Employment in Early 2025

According to Bureau of Immigration data, Pakistan observed extensive labor migration during the first quarter of 2025 when 172.144 citizens chose to move abroad for quality work opportunities.

Saudi Arabia attracted 121190 Pakistani workers who chose to work there in the first quarter of 2025. Several countries in the Gulf area received many workers following this trend:

  • Qatar: 12,989 workers
  • Oman: 8,331 workers
  • UAE: 6,891 workers

Several Western nations, such as the United Kingdom, with 1,454 migrants, accepted Pakistani job seekers, plus Germany, with 264 people and 257 individuals from Pakistan in the United States.

The highest number of UK workers entered the country as general laborers at 99,139 workers seconded by 38,274 drivers and 3,474 skilled technicians. The number of doctors, engineers, nurses, and teachers from Pakistan who emigrated to other countries reached 849, 1,479, 390, and 436 people during this period.
