More than 1 million people across Lebanon have been forced to flee ongoing and deadly Israeli airstrikes across the country. Several of the healthcare personnel have also been displaced and numerous health centres have been forced to close due to the fighting.

The Middle East crisis is deepening. Israel has promised to retaliate after Iran fired hundreds of missiles on Tuesday as regional tensions deepened further a day after Israel said it started a ground invasion in Lebanon to counter the threat from Hezbollah, as per reports.

In Tuesday’s attack, Iran said it targeted military bases in Israel. For the first time, the country used hypersonic Fattah missiles – that can travel five times faster than the speed of sound. The US has also promised strong consequences for the attack.

Old tensions in the Middle East exploded last year as Hamas militants launched an attack on Israeli cities, killing some 1,200 people and taking several others hostages. Israel’s retaliatory strikes, on the other hand, have already claimed over 40,000 lives in Gaza.
