Microsoft Layoffs: Satya Nadella-led tech giant begins job cuts based on performance
Microsoft has initiated a layoff round for underperforming employees in the US, according to a Business Insider report. Medical, prescription and dental healthcare benefits of affected employees is going to end immediately, as per the termination letters.
“The reason(s) for the termination of your employment include your job performance has not met minimum performance standards and expectations for your position,” the agency quoted the termination letters as saying.
Microsoft is also going to consider past performance and termination if any of the affected employees apply for other jobs at the company in the future. The headcount is not likely to change much as the company is going to backfill the role.
