Hoffman advised Stanford University students that dedicated founders would prioritize their startup over work-life balance. Hoffman emphasized that LinkedIn achieved success mainly through strict dedication to work. All workers including those who have families needed to stay available for work starting from dinner time. Head off to dinner with your family first then return to work. At mealtime he recommended families join in the work session by starting their computers.
Hoffman used Microsoft’s acquisition of LinkedIn in 2016 as evidence of his endorsement for business expansion strategies. According to the founder those early company staff earned profits by giving exceptional dedication during PayPal’s early stage.
