LinkedIn Co-Founder Declares Work-Life Balance Impossible for Successful Startups

LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman tells entrepreneurs that keeping Work-Life Balance will prevent startup success. Hoffman advised Stanford University students that dedicated founders would prioritize their startup over work-life balance. The top founders always dedicate all their resources to achieving their startup’s success.

Hoffman emphasized that LinkedIn achieved success mainly through strict dedication to work. All workers including those who have families needed to stay available for work starting from dinner time. Head off to dinner with your family first then return to work. At mealtime he recommended families join in the work session by starting their computers.

Hoffman used Microsoft’s acquisition of LinkedIn in 2016 as evidence of his endorsement for business expansion strategies. According to the founder those early company staff earned profits by giving exceptional dedication during PayPal’s early stage. Hoffman’s office role at PayPal required more extended working hours because employees got free meals during their extended time at work.
