Indonesia has announced the official introduction of the E33G Remote Worker Visa that permits Indian remote professionals to legally reside and work in Indonesia for up to 12 months (extendable for another 12 months). Launched in April 2024, the initiative seeks to attract global digital nomads and create opportunities to diversify the tourism led economy.
Applications are completely digital through Indonesia’s official immigration portal. The visa fee is 7 million IDR. Once approved you will need to enter the country within 90 days and complete the necessary KITAS registration to formally live there.
With tropical islands like Bali, rapidly growing coworking hotspots, cheap cost of living, and warm friendliness, Indonesia has the perfect blend of work and life. Remote professionals from all over the globe are already settling in cities like Jakarta, Yoygakarta and Lombok.
