She said yes: Georgina Rodriguez and Cristiano Ronaldo get engaged

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez officially announced their engagement just hours ago, making headlines in different parts of the globe. This is a milestone in a romance that has captured global attention for almost a decade.

Taking to her Instagram account, Georgina posted a photograph of a glittering ring on her finger alongside the caption in Spanish: “Yes, I do…” Their story started in 2016 as Ronaldo met the love of his life at a Gucci store in Madrid.

The 2016 chance meeting soon turned into a romantic relationship that finally caught the public’s attention in 2017. In the subsequent years, the couple has built a close family. The engagement announcement has got many netizens elated.

The family is currently sharing time in both Europe and the Middle East as Ronaldo is playing for a Saudi football club named Al-Nassr after a beautiful career at multiple clubs like Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester United.
