He gave his first donation of 1.2 Million Euros by auctioning his Golden Boot in 2011, and he gave it to the construction of schools in Gaza. In the same year, he gave 37,000 euros by selling a shirt signed by him to save the lives of children around the world. He is also an ambassador of Unicef and World Vision. He donated the price of 100,000 euros which he received from UEFA’s Team of the Year in 2013 to the Red Cross. He donated to the cancer center, children’s welfare, building schools, and more. He gives what he receives without any second thoughts, this has made him a Golden and Global icon.

He added a feather to his hat of records today by becoming the first person in the world with “1 Billion Followers”. He has shared his joy of note in his X post.

“We have made history – 1 Billion followers!

This is more than just a number – it’s a testament to our shared passion, drive, and love for the game and beyond.

From the streets of Madeira to the biggest stages in the world, I’ve always played for my family and for you, and now 1 billion of us stand together.

You’ve been with me every step of the way, through all the highs and the lows. This journey is our journey, and together,  we’ve shown that there are no limits to what we can achieve.

Thank you for believing in me, for your support, and for being part of my life. The best is yet to come, and we’ll keep pushing, winning, and making history together”.
