With remote work being the norm, a growing number of countries are starting to welcome digital nomads through various visa programmes. As of 2025, there are at least 73 countries with visas for digital nomads or similar long-stay work permits for freelancers, entrepreneurs and remote workers. Digital nomad visas allow you to live legally in your desired destination while online working without the limitations of a tourist visa. The world has never been more open to digital workers, as places like Europe, affordable Asia and the beaches of the Caribbean are all available to remote workers.
